An Introduction to the Hridaya Hatha Yoga Theory

Before we ask you for assistance in our endeavors, you may be asking what Hridaya Hatha Yoga is all about. For starters, this practice brings total relaxation and happiness with less effort nor hindrances. Hatha yoga helps create the starting point of openness and relaxation toward a higher spiritual plane.
It coexists with the practice of asana outlining the importance of two aspects: energy and consciousness achieving balance in between both poles. Although this type of yoga cannot bring every facet of ultimate spiritual actualization, it is proven that partaking in it helps the alchemy of the asana leading it to a gradual realizations of our true nature as human beings.
We’ll be glad to acquaint you with greater insights, so this piece by piece explanation of everything we’ve mentioned so far in this introductory phase to Hridaya Hatha Yoga is found next.

Dancing in the Music of Hatha Yoga

With our daily practice of Asana, we can help you dance in the music of life, that of Hatha yoga, in the same manner you would strike an instrument to play rhythms. Hatha yoga will help you be one in grace and awareness from your physical body to unshackle the limiting factors of your pure presence, the heart. Hridaya brings in harmony in our daily living.

Yoga of Pure Presence

Hridaya Yoga is hinged upon the free flow of energies while focusing on the awareness of our pure presence, our spiritual heart. In this case, we will never teach you the asanas, instead help you learn the meditative attitudes needed to experience asana, and awaken your pure heart at your own pace. Everything will be done straight from the heart.
This free flow differentiates natural yoga and mechanical yoga practice. The former speaks of meditation using the awareness through and through while the latter almost always focuses on individual will and mindset as its core.
Free flow yoga is more superior in that it helps those who practice it to become able to fully express their personalities, be one with calm and stillness and increase their ability to focus despite the heavily stressed environments they belong to.

On Hridaya Yoga and Happiness

As we emphasize the focus on the heart as an instrument of learning to be aware of the free energy exchanges that happen between us and the universe, we find ourselves more careful of our bodies because we know that it ultimately does not belong to us in the long run.
We are able to master the reception of energy, transforming it and giving it off so others can feel the same when they’re near us. We find peace in knowing that it is only by perceiving our true natures that we become truly happy, and not by pushing around chakras or nadis through our body.
We learn to allow to amplify the joy we feel and allowing our bodies to be sentinels that positive energy freely flows from.

Yoga Retreat Mexico

Yoga originates from India and is known to be a physical, mental or spiritual practice to controlling the body and the mind.
Meditation on the other hand, is associated with yoga practices. Its description by so many schools of thoughts implies that it is the science by which the soul is re-united.
Mexico is one of the top locations amongst the Canadians and Americans for yoga practices. Winter month in Mexico is usually a period when the weather is warm with sunny days and wonderful nights. This makes Mexico a good place to live in and relax at the beach; in a desert hacienda or in a notable city. Numerous resorts and gathering excursions offer exercises other than yoga, so that your partner can stay busy with surfing, golf, fishing, or unwinding in a hammock in case they are not keen on going along with you for yoga.
There are several approaches to participating in yoga Mexico. You can go to a Yoga retreat center in Mexico, join a gathering for a yoga excursion, or put up your own yoga getaway.

Visiting a Mexico Yoga Retreat Center
There are currently many Yoga Retreats in Mexico. You will find yoga Mexico centers in Baja California, and along the shorelines of the Pacific Ocean from Mazatlan down to the bank of Oaxaca. You will discover yoga offered at restored haciendas in Mexico's wine nation, and at the wellness retreat centers outside pioneer urban communities like Cuernavaca and San Miguel de Allende. Other centers are in Chiapas (Mayan highlands) and in Veracruz.
On the Caribbean bank of Yucatan, there exist yoga retreat centers in the city of Izamal, where most structures are painted a lovely Vatican yellow. There are also island retreat centers on Isla Holbox and Isla Mujeres, and beachside yoga retreat on the Mayan Riviera from Cancun and Tulum the distance down to Lake Bacalar.
These are areas you can visit at whatever time of year without anyone else many of which are near to the airports and one can board a direct flight from the United States to these locations. The facilities range from natural to luxurious ones and the prices are not the same.

Discover Freedom Through Breaking the Limits of Your Own Ego

Most of us have our limitations regarding what we are able to do or achieve. It is these limitations that prevent us from making the most of our potential and really succeed in life. Discovering a way to break through these limits can open up a whole world of endless opportunities, of which you are able to reach out a grab a hold.

In order to break through and discover the true meaning of the word freedom, you must first recognise exactly what is causing your limitations. For many of us it is our own ego that tells us that we are not able to achieve something or that we are not good enough to reach such goals. Furthermore modern social behaviours have caused a fear of being judged by others and a desire to fit or seem normal. Mediation and gaining access to your inner being is an effective method for breaking free of your own ego. Lessons and retreats offered by Hridaya-Yoga have a strong focus on self-discovery and spirituality to help you learn about your true identity. The experience can be life changing, as once you have broken free of your ego, you have the capabilities to achieve anything.

Becoming a Qualified Hridaya Meditation and Yoga Instructor

If you have already been on the joyful and spiritual journey that is a Hridaya meditation and Hatha yoga course or retreat then you will already know the experience can have a positive effect on many areas of your life. The natural next progression is to train to become an instructor, qualifying you to teach others by introducing them to their own spiritual hearts and helping to better their lives and themselves.

Becoming a qualified instructor requires for you to have previously attended one of the courses or retreats that Hridaya offers in a number of countries. The course is intensive and fits in 500 hours of classes and practice into a 3-month period. Anyone with the intention of studying to become a Hridaya Meditation and Yoga instructor needs to be passionate and disciplined in order to complete the course with skill and confidence to assist others in finding the inner peace, love, and the divinity of the Self within all of us. The know one’s Self deeply, beyond body and mind comes as a natural result of meditation. The revelation of the Self, the Spiritual Heart, is the highest goal of Hridaya. Furthermore, the course also gives practical guidelines to assist you in becoming a great meditation and hatha yoga teacher to others. This course reaches into your life far beyond its 3 month duration; when speaking of spiritual practice Nisaradatta Maharaj said, “Any true transformation is irreversible.”

Attendees of any of the yoga and meditation courses and retreats are expected to be cigarette, drug and alcohol free and naturally that expectation also applies to instructors. As a qualified Hridaya instructor you will be expected to maintain and encourage in others a health lifestyle that focuses around your clean and pure body with your heart at the centre. During the retreat a sattvic diet is maintained (no meat, garlic, onion, minimal sugar). Mauna (silence) is mandatory throughout the retreat to facilitate an attitude of internalization, and to create an atmosphere of both inner and outer stillness.

During your yoga teacher training course you will be required to complete 500 hours of classes, and there will be exams that require personal preparation and revision. Exams must be passed with a high percentage in order to complete the course and receive your yoga teacher training certificate. Hridaya promotes self-discipline and aims to raise self-awareness, discovering your inner being beyond body, mind, emotions, and even beyond thoughts. Instructors should take pleasure in sharing what they have learnt about themselves and the spiritual heart, and help others to achieve the same inner knowing of the Self.

Five Reasons Why Meditation is Important?

Meditation has been common within certain communities for centuries and particularly within religion. Nowadays it is becoming increasingly popular within both religious and non-religious circles. The main point is to deepen your knowledge of your inner self by allowing your thinking mind to surrender and take a back seat. Hridaya Yoga is a form of yoga which offers Hridaya Hatha Yoga, silent meditation retreats  and teaches a popular meditation in centres around the world named Hridaya Meditation.  It is also called a meditation for the Revelation of the Spiritual Heart. This represents the scope and meaning of the essence of meditation very well.  For me it is all about discovery of your heart and your inner soul.

Meditation can benefit people’s lives in different ways depending on what they are hoping to get out of it and here are five ways in which meditation can be important.

1.    Finding inner peace
When talking about meditation, one phrase that regularly gets thrown around is “find inner peace”. What does this really mean? What I believe it to mean can be explained by the use of a metaphor. When you go for a few days without clearing up your room, you end up with a pile of unnecessary junk. Imagine your body is your room. Meditation is a tool that can be used to release all of the negative energy and stress that we’re exposed to on a daily basis. A clear mind, heart and soul will start you on your way to discovering inner peace. The Hridaya Meditation Retreat offers a 10-day silent retreat, the ultimate clean up of the body.

2.    Get energized
Meditation is one of the best ways to get rejuvenated and energized. Our bodies are essentially made up of energy so through removing the negative and replacing it with positive energy we can give ourselves an extra boost. Yoga is another great method and there are a number of great yoga retreats all around the world.

3.    Increase your concentration
Again with a clear mind you will find that you are more focused and able to concentrate on tasks throughout the day. Those who meditate regularly find that they are more productive.  Some of the most successful people in the world attribute their successes to  meditation and yoga retreats.

4.    Become calmer
Most meditation and yoga retreats offer courses and classes in a specialised area of the practice. Both Hatha Yoga and Hridaya Meditation are focused towards self-discovery. While Hatha Yoga is about finding peace in a body posture, Hridaya Meditation asks the question “Who Am I?” When you discover the answer such an essential question, you begin to see the important things in life. You will find that you are less irritable and have a generally calmer outlook on life.

5.    Clarity of mind
At any one given time, each of us has thousands of thoughts running through our mind. It can be hard to focus on one and give it our full attention and therefore we waste time and don’t work to the best of our ability. To experience true clarity of mind, why not try attending a yoga or meditation retreat. It could be the best thing you ever did!
